After an evening of great performances, the moment came when the judges scores were combined with the publics telephone vote, and it was announced that Gordon Ramsay’s wife found herself in the skate-off alongside Danny Young.
Both contestants had to hit the ice for a second time to perform their routines, and had to persuade Jason Gardiner, Emma Bunton, Robin Cousins, Nicky Slater and Karen Barber to keep them in the competition for another week.
After the performances, it was time for the judges to cast their votes. Barber, Slater and Gardiner chose to save Danny Young, meaning Tana Ramsay got the boot. Both Emma Bunton and Robin Cousins revealed that they’d also have saved Young.
After hearing news of her departuer, Tana Ramsay said: “I’ve had such a fantastic, fantastic time, I’m going to miss skating with Stuart, and working with everyone. Everyone’s been so supportive, and I’ve had such a fantastic time. I’m exhausted!“
She continued: “The best bit was the training and the challenge of it all, and rising to the bar each week. It’s going to get harder and harder. I’ve loved every single bit of it.“
Meanwhile her dance partner said: “I’ve had such a good time. Tana and her family have really welcomed me. It’s been a really good year for me. We did become very close and I know we’ll stay very close.“
Dancing On Ice continues next Sunday at 6.25pm on ITV1.
