After launching her first successful perfume Sarah Jessica Parker has decided to launch a new one. Lovely was launched back in 2005 and was meant to be a very quiet tame perfume, and it was a huge success being one of the if not the best celebrity perfume. Parker’s new perfume Covet is meant to be a more aggressive perfume the extrudes impulsiveness, indulgence, and irresistibly.
Covet opens with an intense green notes from geranium leaves, sicilian lemon, lavender, and warm chocolate notes. The heart notes are honeysuckle, magnolia, and lily. The base of the perfume brings a deeper darker smell with cashmere wood, musk, vetiver, teak wood, and amber.
Like Lovely, it was a very well made perfume. Unlike so many other celebrity fragrances where the notes don’t blend well together at all, Sarah Jessica Parker’s always seem to blend very nicely. Perfumers Frank Volkl and Ann Gottlieb are responsible for creating this very polished smooth sent. Along with having a good smell Covet also seems to have an impressive lasting power, another sign of a quality scent.
Overall Covet is very different from Sarah Jessica Parker’s first perfume, but it is still a great fragrance in its own way. If you are a fan of very subtle scents then Covet might not be for you. But if you liked Lovely or haven’t tried either you should definitely check them out. Even if you thought you would never buy a celebrity perfume Covet was very well made and is a great scent.
