Even a boxing match didn’t look this good when Katy Perry ‘ROAR’ all the way through the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) dressed up like a prizefighter, with dazzling gloves, tiger printed sports-bra, shorts with burning flames and golden lace boots.
The 28-year-singer performed her brand new hit single ‘Roar’ from her new upcoming album ‘Prism’, due to be out on Oct. 22, under the Brooklyn Bridge on Sunday (Aug. 25) night. To match up the song title the stage was turned into a boxing ring complete with a gold lion and a tiger head. That’s not all, like a real boxer she had an actor played as a trainer at the corner of the ring who replenished her with bottled water and a spit bucket just like a real boxing match.
Nonetheless, Katy gave up some sneak peak of serious transformation in promo videos which featured burning the iconic blue wig from her hit single “California Gurls” featuring Snoop Lion music video.
Selling more than 550,000 digital copies in the first week of its release, ‘Roar’ is not only a smash hit, it’s also Katy’s best-selling digital track.
