Jennifer Lopez finally get her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame alongside with other 2,500 stars on Thursday, June 20.
The 43-year-old singer and actress was joined in by celebs with the likes of Jane Fonda, Rapper Pit Bull, former American Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe and screaming fans. Expressing her feelings at the event, Jennifer said she’s overwhelmed and feels surreal. She also told that she feels so awesome and real.
Jane, who co-starred alongside Jennifer in the 2005 movie, Monster-in-Law, said that she deserves an entire block of stars, referring to her opinion that the honor only reflects what she’s capable of.
Gregory Nava, who directed Jennifer’s Selena in 1997, said that she’s the hardest worker he has ever known; recalling the event the she told him she’s going to be the first Latin superstar with a number one movie and a number one record at the same time.
With tears in her eyes, Jennifer thanked the crowd and said that she loved and thanked them for being with her all the way.
Jennifer, also known to her fans as J.Lo, made her film debut with Selena in 1997. She was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her performance. The Grammy-winning singer released her first solo album, On The 6, in 1999. She is expected to release her 10th studio album in November this year.
