Jennifer Lopez Didn’t Quit American Idol For Money

Jennifer Lopez didn’t leave the American Idol contest over money.

A source close to the star reported to People’s magazine that Jennifer Lopez, 42, decision to quit American Idol after appearing as a judge for the past two season has nothing to do with salary issues.

The report is contrary to that Jennifer asked the producers of the Fox’s talent show to raise her salary by $2 million if they want her to continue. However, the source said that Fox executives did approach Jennifer for substantial increase of her salary for next season but her team never faced the issue.

In her first appearance on idol Jennifer bagged $15 million. Realizing the value she brought to the show, executives raised her salary to $20 million including bonuses for her second time in the series, the source added. People approached a Fox representative but declined to comment.

About her decision to quit, the star informed the source it was a tough one. The source says that Jennifer left so that she can focus on her family and film career and well other creative endeavors, which also includes her fashion business.

Recently, Jennifer Lopez also reiterated this Ryan Seacrest that it was very hard decision for her to quit the show alongside Steven Tyler, who too has already departed the show.
