Cory Monteith of the hit TV series, “Glee” was found dead at a hotel in Vancouver, Canada on Saturday, July 13.
The Canadian actor, who played the Finn Hudson character on Glee, was recovered dead in his room on the 21st floor at Vancouver’s waterfront Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel around noon on Saturday, according to the police.
Doug Lepard, the deputy police chief said that they didn’t find any indication of foul activity. He said it’s the hotel staff who found Cory’s body after he missed his check-out time. He was only 31.
Lisa Lapointe, the coroner said they didn’t have much information regarding Cory’s probable cause of death. However, Doug said that Cory has been out with some people earlier and those people are now being questioned.
Earlier this year, Cory voluntarily checked into rehab for substance abuse problems for the second time and completed treatment in April. He was scheduled to return for the fifth season of Glee and at the end of June he was a part of the photo shoot to promote the show’s upcoming episodes.
At the time of his death, Cory had a relationship with Glee co-star, Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry. The couple started dating last year.
