The 24-year-old singer’s rep said in a statement that Chris has elected to check into a rehab facility. The rep also said that the R&B singer’s goal is to gain focus and insight about his recent behavior and the things he has done in the past. This will enable him to continue his pursuit of his life and career from a much healthy vantage point.
The Grammy-winning artist and his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy were both released from a jail in Washington DC, without bail on Monday,(Oct. 28), following a felony charge, which was later reduced to a misdemeanor.
Chris and Christopher were arrested early on Sunday morning (Oct. 27), after an altercation with another man outside the W Hotel in Washington. The man was taken to the hospital for treatment and discharged. Chris’s lawyer denied that the singer committed an offence.
Chris was sentenced, which included community service and a domestic violence course for a year, for beating up his then girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
