Singer Shakira has announced that she has no intentions of performing for the controversial Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov. There has been reports that Shakira was supposed to perform for the President on his 35th birthday. Apparently, the spokesperson for the president had announced that both Shakira and violinist Vanessa Mae would be performing at his birthday party. However, Shakira and her people were just as quite to deny the claim. We heard that Shakira’s representative took to the star’s Twitter page to say “Contrary to any misreporting, Shakira is not performing nor was she ever booked to perform a gig for the Chechen President or Government.”
